Progressive English Program. What is it?
Our year-round ESL program called Progressive English/Inglés Progresivo, is a unique series of books written by the school director Karen Cocina, to help students learn quickly. The books are organized to lay a strong English language foundation by coordinating all the skills of reading, listening, pronouncing, writing, grammar, and speaking. There are classes for beginners, intermediates, and advanced students. Every student will get a certificate for each book completed.
We started our Progressive English Program in 2008. During these years our experienced teachers already helped hundreds of students to greatly improve their language skills and pursue their academic and career dreams.

What Schedule Will I Have?
We know how busy people are, so we offer flexible schedule. In other words, you have the opportunity to choose morning or evening classes. This way we make learning English an easier option for parents with work and family obligations. Youth with limited English skills who are attending a public school can study in the evening ESL classes or during the summer quarter at Main Street Schoolhouse, also.
Who Will Teach Me?
We are proud to tell you that the English teachers at Main Street Schoolhouse are professionals, experienced in teaching ESL. Most of them are bilingual in English and Spanish to bring quick comprehension to the large local Hispanic community that the Schoolhouse serves. Our Schoolhouse is a friendly place, and you will think it is a second home.
How much does it cost?
Our Director Miss Karen Cocina is dedicated to providing the best education for the incredibly low price. Please check Our Prices page. Look for English as a Second Language (ESL) section.
